kweisi gharreau aka kweisi, the poet IG: @kweisithebrand kweisi gharreau (kway-c ga-har-ro) spent the past 17-years living in Hollywood before moving back to Chicago in 2023 to pursue his literary dreams of becoming Chicago's Inaugural Poet Laureate. kweisi became a Nominee for the appointment. However, kweisi was not appointed, disappointed kweisi stayed in Chicago to continue his literary journey. kweisi's classic spoken word album the truth. the way. the life. with Spike Rebel and featured GRAMMY AWARDS Nominee, TeamJohnHill was a 2024 GRAMMY AWARDS Contender in seven categories which you can stream for your listening pleasure on APPLE Music. kweisi's spoken word song, one shot away was up for the GRAMMY AWARDS' Merit Award for BEST SONG FOR SOCIAL CHANGE which addresses kweisi's dark thoughts of suicide. one shot away is the very poem that prevented kweisi from taking his life via suicide. kweisi worked in Los Angeles as a Brand Strategist and Celebrity PR Executive for the boutique firm kgPR in which he is the Principle Partner and Founder.
kweisi is an HBCU graduate from the class of 1992 at the Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. kweisi, studied abroad in a literary Master's Program at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. kweisi is a self-published author and an unofficial New York Times Best Seller, independently selling over 5,000 units of his debut book, n'nocent RAGE.
kweisi is a father of two beautiful children, his daughter, Nyrial and his son, Navonne Love IG @tp.navonne. ROY ROGERS IG @dblr.rogers Roy S. Rogers is an Amazon #1 best-selling author of The Making of a Good Man: Lessons in Life and Integrity, where he shares his personal journey to inspire young men to live with integrity, resilience, and purpose. After retiring as a Lieutenant and Supervisor at the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, Roy continues to mentor individuals and lead self-defense courses for women in local communities.
Roy’s professional career outside of law enforcement includes being a National Certified Personal Trainer through the American Fitness Professional Association (AFPA). He has devotedly served as a Health and Wellness Coach at the Northwest YMCA in Irmo, SC, for more than two decades. Additionally, Roy is the CEO of Double R Strong Bar LLC, the company behind his innovative fitness equipment, the Double R Strong Bar. He also mentors high school athletes, many of whom have earned state and national recognition.
Before his retirement, Roy dedicated 29 years to law enforcement, including 3 years at the Greenville County Detention Center, where he rose from Detention Officer to Training Corporal. At the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, he supervised the Detention Unit and served as a key member of a specialized team responsible for training and graduation ceremonies. In 2016, Roy was honored as Supervisor of the Year; for his commitment to the law enforcement community. Roy is also deeply involved in community service, feeding the homeless, and supporting other charitable causes. A proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Roy lives by the principle of putting God first in all that he does, which has guided both his professional and personal life.
Outside of work, Roy enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with his wife, Marsha, and their two dogs. Through his varied work and service, Roy continues to inspire others and live out his passion for giving back.
