Durag Festival

Celebrating Juneteenth in true cultural style, the Durag Fest is a two-day event that has become a staple for Black culture enthusiasts. Now in its 6th year, this celebration in Charlotte features an exciting lineup of panels, speakers, mixers, workshops, and more. A standout highlight is the HBCU Design Challenge, where students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities compete to design a durag that embodies both the significance of Juneteenth and the symbolism of the durag in Black culture.
