We will be hosting our historical kickoff launch event at CoWo Creche in Old Town Alexandria - CoWo is a black owned, family-oriented and operated coworking space and childcare center in Old Town Alexandria.

The Alexandria Chapter of the Blacks In Technology Foundation is set to launch in June 2024, representing a momentous occasion for the Greater Alexandria area and surrounding communities, including Old Towne Alexandria, Alexandria, Greater Alexandria, Arlington, Annandale, Aldie, Ashburn, Brambleton, Burke, Centreville, Chantilly, Clinton, Dunn Loring, Dulles, Fairfax City, Falls Church, Gainesville, Great Falls, Haymarket, Herndon, Kingstowne, Leesburg, Lorton, McLean, Reston, Springfield, Sterling, Tysons Corner, Vienna, Winchester and everywhere in between!

The event will include the Launch of the Chapter supporting the NOVA region and the inauguration of its leadership team - Monica Pemberton (President) and NiKole Maxwell (Vice President) and team of volunteers leaders for an evening to truly be remembered.

Our launch offers both chapter, state, and national sponsorship opportunities, providing a unique chance to be part of our historic inauguration and support a network that spans across Northern Virginias most vibrant communities. Join us in making a significant impact during our inaugural year.

The Blacks In Technology Foundation is the largest community of Black people in the technology industry boasting a roster of over 30K worldwide. Through community-focused activities, events and outreach, The Blacks In Technology (BIT) Foundation is “Stomping the Divide” by establishing a blueprint of world-class technical excellence and innovation by providing resources, guidance, networking, and opportunities for members to share their expertise and advance their careers.
